Working with Me

My process for new clients

For most new clients, particularly those with more complex concerns, I prefer to bundle the first two appointments. This method allows me to spend more time with you, helps me understand your concerns better, and enables me to tailor your recommendations on a much deeper level.

  • Appointment 1 – this appointment lasts 90 minutes. Half of the time is spent gathering a comprehensive dietary and medical history, while the other half focuses on nutrition education. Balanced nutrition is presented to you thoroughly yet clearly.

  • Appointment 2 – this appointment occurs about one week later, and this is where I present to you each of my therapeutic recommendations. I explain the “what,” “how,” and “why” I believe these recommendations would help you feel better and move you towards greater health.

For clients with less complex concerns, one 90-minute appointment should suffice.

I offer follow-up appointments as needed to monitor progress, and to provide accountability and support as you begin your dietary and lifestyle changes.

How to prepare for the first appointment:

  • Provide a 3-Day Dietary Record - this allows us to determine which foods are commonly appearing in your diet, and it gives us room to set goals for improvement. I only want you to take part in this activity if there is no history of disordered eating. In this case, we can discuss in person your current eating pattern.

  • Join my HIPAA-compliant portal, Healthie - you will receive a link to join.

  • Fill out my intake form on Healthie - you will receive a link for this.

  • Recent labs - either upload the results of lab tests conducted within the past 3-6 months to Healthie (under “Documents”), or bring paper copies to our appointment. If you don't have any recent lab tests, we can discuss getting some updated labs.

  • For in-person appointments, my office is located at 3525 Main Street in Rowlett.

  • For virtual appointments, we will meet on Healthie. When it’s time for our appointment, log in and click “Join Appointment.”
